Community Work Days

We host Community Work Days on the third Saturday of each month of most months. Please arrive at 8:45am and be prepared to get dirty. You’ll need sunscreen, a water bottle, and closed-toed shoes. Check the Molokai Dispatch the week prior for updated information.
The type of work done varies depending on the needs of the fishpond. Community Work Day activities may include any of the activities from our other programs such as: mangrove and limu removal, de-barking mangrove for hale building, exploring mauka lands, kupuna sharing, etc. The work concludes with deep sharing and an ‘Ai Pono potluck lunch by Uncle Herbert. For larger groups, please contact our Office Assistant (KHMIintern@gmail.com) ahead of time for additional details.
